"Working with the London Transport Museum Tours, GWR is providing a useful boost to West Cornwall's tourism industry through its overnight sleeper, the Night Riviera. Groups of 30 passengers are met at London Paddington station and take the sleeper all the way through to Penzance. Upon arrival they are met by Mounts Bay Coaches for the short transfer to The Queen's Hotel for a traditional Cornish breakfast, followed by a tour of West Cornwall hosted by a Blue Badge Guide. It's then a return to the Queen's for a for a superb 3-course dinner before re-joining the Night Riviera for the return trip to London. With three trips planned in January and February this business represents a useful boost to the local tourist economy. At GWR, David Gardner - Head of Sales, said "We're delighted with the demand shown for these trips and thank L T Museum Tours for their success in promoting Cornwall and the Night Riviera sleeper service. A focus on the off-season allows all of the supplier partners to provide very attractive rates and for those that have travelled it's an excellent opportunity to appreciate the beauty of the county at a time of year when most tounsts are absent".

Great Western Railway operates the Night Riviera sleeper service every night (apart from Saturdays) between London and Penzance, and vice-versa, with a choice of solo and double berths, along with some seated accommodation. Sleeper passengers are provided with an on-board bar/buffet service, free Wi-Fi and a complimentary light breakfast on arrival."

"I'd like to thank you properly for the way you sorted out our transport problems, it all went so smoothly that I'm not sure all the guests realised that it was not the usual way of doing things, though we gave Graham a round of applause, and Tony our grateful thanks.

I've sent an email to Mandy Trueman at Penrith to say how very helpful and efficient you have been, and hope to be back using your company before too long.

With best wishes"

"Dear Jeff and Kathy,

I have just returned from an HF holiday at Chy Morvah in St Ives. Last Tuesday we were collected by coach from Marazion. I inadvertently left my walking poles in a little ice cream shop. It was tool late to go back and look for them as we had to get back in time for a trip to the Minnack. Your driver Peter very kindly said that he would contact the owner as he lived locally and find them. This he did and returned them to the hotel on Thursday.

I am so grateful to him as they were borrowed from a friend. What a kind hearted man.

I have posted him a thank you card."

"Hi Kathy,

This week is our final week this year. I must say it has gone so quickly...Many thanks to you and Jeff. Please pass on Eamonn and my thanks to all your wonderful drivers, especially Graham who Eamonn has affectionately nicknamed Mr. Cornwall!

"Dear Kathy,

We had a fantastic trip to Launceston. Thank you to you all and the brilliant driver- he kept us all safe. Thank you- it's such a blessing to use local people and operators.

Have a blessed season.

"Dear Jeff and Kathy,

I was leading the coastal path trail from Chy Morvah this last week.

The service from your company for the transport was excellent. The drivers could not have been more helpful and professional. They were always there on time, and were flexible about the pick-up times, and happy to be advised about an earlier or later pick-up time.

I was very grateful that they were happy for an earlier start, as we found the paths wetter than I had ever known, which slowed us down. It really helped the earlier start.

So please pass my thanks to Graham, Peter and Val who drove us last week, and thank you for the excellent transport service.

Best wishes,

Matthew Dieppe, HF Coastal Path Leader"

"We just wanted to say "thank you" for the trip we went on to Bristol and Bath Christmas markets. Everything was well organised, the hotel was good, the day at Longleat was fantastic. A big "thank you" to our bus driver who kindly offered to drive us around the park to see the animals. The shopping was excellent and a good time was had by all. We are now looking forward to next year's trip."

"Hello everyone at Mounts Bay Coaches, just a quick mailing to say how much I appreciated the excellent service given by your coach company yesterday, Saturday 6th, Decemeber when I travelled to Barnstaple/Atlantic Village. Our driver, Pete, was brilliant and negotiated the tortuous North Devon roads (especially difficult at night) with great skill. Please pass my thanks to him. Your coach was on time, clean and well heated."

"Thank you again for another lovely holiday in Eastbourne. We thoroughly enjoyed the whole holiday, excursions and hotel. Graham was smashing again as usual, always very friendly and helpful. We are now looking forward to Weston-Super Mare."

"Excellent weekend, enjoyed by all and made all the more better by the Gold Star service we received by Peter."

"...thanks again for an enjoyable holiday at Weston last week and especially your care and travel advice in the snowy weather."

"Thank you once again for our smashing holiday in Blackpool. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves as usual. The trips up and back were so comfortable and we really enjoyed looking at all the scenery on the journey. The Lake District was wonderful and we hope that sometime you may do a whole week's holiday there. It was so peaceful. The hotel was also very comfortable and the meals fantastic. We are now looking forward to our day Bridgewater Cornwall holiday and are already thinking about the holidays we want to do next year. Thank you again, Graham was lovely as well as usual."

"Today my friends and I had a very enjoyable day going to Plymouth on your coach. We thoroughly liked the Sister Act show at the Theatre. We feel our driver should be thanked. He was cheerful, willing and our coach was well-driven with comfort and ease all through the journey to our drop-off point in Truro. We look forward to our next trip soon."

"Dear Kathy,

I am taking the opportunity, on behalf of our members who visited the West of Cornwall last month, to thank you for providing your Duple coach OXI 725 for our transport on Tuesday 20th May from Camborne to Penzance. It is now quite a rare coach – we had only ever been on one example previously – so we had to hire it. Please pass on our thanks to your driver for looking after us and positioning the coach for the various photo stops that were requested.

It all went exactly according to plan and we hope to have the pleasure of travelling on one of your coaches again in the not too distant future.

I attach a picture which I hope you will like, taken at Mounts Bay – where else!

Best Regards
